The Joyful Muse: Journeying to Wholeness Through Creativity Retreat

January 19-21, 2024, at Camp Vermillion in Cook, MN (Bakk House)

Investment: $299

The Joyful Muse is a source of inspiration—a wild and disruptive feminine force that compels us to invite more pleasure and delight into our lives. She often emerges when darkness prevails and things seem dour, inviting mirth, joy, and playfulness.

During this restorative winter weekend retreat, we will circle together and explore how to embrace the gifts of The Joyful Muse as a part of knowing and embodying ourselves as whole through storytelling and myth, writing, embodiment practices, energy work, art, poetry and more…Yoga, Qigong, hiking, and sauna will all be available, and there will be ample free time to rest and explore.

This Indwelling retreat is a special opportunity to relax, unwind, restore, and build capacity and resilience in community and will be one of only two Indwelling retreats offered in 2024.

Camp Vermillion is a beautiful rustic camp in Northern Minnesota. The retreat will take place in Bakk House which has a community gathering space with a gas fireplace, a kitchen, and several bunk rooms.

The retreat cost includes breakfast, which is provided by Indwelling. For dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, please bring a potluck item. This is a beautiful way to care for each other with nourishing food and also keeps the retreat cost at a reasonable price.

Retreat Guides: Hilary Buckwalter-Wilde, Heather Murphy, Rebecca Alsum, Melly Weidendorf, Anna Tennis, Denise Plunkett
