Narcissistic and covert abuse are forms of abuse that may not leave marks in the traditional sense, but that definitely leave damaging imprints on our psyches, hearts, lives, and souls. These forms of abuse are often difficult to detect, include the physiological effects of trauma bonds, and are notoriously difficult to heal from. 

Narcissistic and covert abuse might include verbal abuse, psychological abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, and spiritual abuse. Victims and survivors may experience gaslighting, crazymaking, putdowns, yelling and swearing, aggression, volatility, love bombing, future faking, isolation, betrayal, being cheated on, and ongoing cycles of abusive behavior coupled with love bombing which create confusion, cognitive dissonance, and the trauma bond.
