Healing Hearts: Restoring Clarity Micro-Retreat

Sunday, February 2nd, from 10A-4P

Location: Indwelling Community Room

Investment: $125

Guide: Hilary Buckwalter-Wilde

Narcissistic and covert abuse are forms of abuse that may not leave marks in the traditional sense, but that definitely leave damaging imprints on our psyches, hearts, lives, and souls.

During this trauma conscious micro-retreat, we will circle together and explore the recovery process of healing from narcissistic abuse through body-based, depth psychological, and spiritual modalities in a holistic all-hands-on-deck approach. We will be using the fable of “The Handless Maiden” to guide our exploration.

By focusing on the things that we can change and heal—our patterns, our bodies, our minds, and our hearts—the cornerstones of our time in community will be centered around restoring empowerment while navigating self-responsibility and self-healing.

This circle will be carefully curated to be an inclusive and trauma responsive container that is “safe enough” for us to do the work. We will also be very intentional about how we open and close our time together, with movement, ritual, and grounding practices.

*This retreat will be offered to women, women identifying individuals, and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experience of women.

Please bring a journal and a pen, as well as a packed lunch. Tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Recommended Books for the Micro-Retreat:

Was it Even Abuse: Restoring Clarity After Covert Abuse by Emma Rose Byham

Power: Surviving and Thriving After Narcissistic Abuse by Shahida Arabi

The Wound Makes the Medicine by Pixie Lighthorse
